Run to work, sure why not???

I have decided to try and find a way to get the miles in instead of missing training runs. So today I packed my hiking backpack and ran to my PT job after my FT job :). Its only a mile and a half so its a good way to get in 3 for the day and avoid the dreadmill :) The run TO work was a lot faster than on the way back. Lessons learned:
  1. Do not pack a sweatshirt to wear at work..Too bulky for the backpack and do NOT wear on the way home...way too hot.
  2. Eat earlier in your shift. I ate while closing out the register so my stomach had soup sloshing around on the way back. That does not make for a good run home.
